Installation means removing the factory trigger bar, driving the trigger pin out of the original shoe, fitting the billet shoe and positioning the reset before the pin goes back in. Many installs go smoothly; some need light fitting or trimming. A qualified gunsmith is strongly recommended. A 20 lb (or heavier) recoil spring and a 3.5 lb trigger kit with connector often improve reliability. See the installation guide.

What is a Glock FRT?

A Glock FRT is a forced reset trigger kit for Glock pistols. It replaces the factory trigger shoe with a flat-face billet aluminum shoe and adds a reset component that mechanically returns the trigger forward after each shot for a faster reset. It is a semi-automatic part: every round fired still takes a separate pull of the trigger.

Does a Glock FRT make the pistol fully automatic?

No. A forced reset trigger is a semi-automatic component. One pull of the trigger fires one round. The reset only pushes the trigger forward mechanically, faster than your finger alone; it does not fire on its own.

Which Glock models does the FRT fit?

It fits the standard Gen 1 through Gen 6 double-stack frames, including the Glock 17, 19, 19X, 22, 23, 26, 34 and 45. Gen 5, Gen V and Gen 6 pistols need the factory ambidextrous slide release swapped for a Gen 4 slide release. It does not fit the .22 LR Glock 44 or the slimline single-stack models (43, 43X, 48).
